F.A.T. Studio has been running collaborative community projects in SE London for several years and in 2021 we managed to crowdfund enough money for our biggest project yet: Old Kent Road Arts Club – an exciting creative space that welcomes and connects the communities of Old Kent Road, at a critical time in the area's history. The project is all about bringing people together through free arts events and strengthening cultural and creative presence on Old Kent Road.

The Old Kent Road Arts Club is an active, evolving space. It's first year of activity has consisted of 3 main strands:
Led by F.A.T. Studio co-director, art teacher and painter Kate Ducker.

The Young Artists Club is a completely free, 12-month creative programme for local 15-18 year olds who want to get into the arts, either professionally or just for fun. The activities will be shaped by the interests of the group but will most probably consist of supported studio time, special guest workshops led by local creatives, studio visits, group projects, portfolio building and an end of year exhibition.

This years Y.A.C. Programme has now ended. Stay tuned for updates coming soon.
Young Artists Club (Y.A.C.)
Led by F.A.T. Studio co-director, weaver and networker Natanya Mark.

Second Life Club is a weekly meeting group for makers that live or work near Old Kent Road. It's a social space where craft skills can be shared, ideas around sustainability can be explored and local making can be celebrated. From DIY fashionistas, to carpenters, to up-cycling enthusiasts, this club welcomes everyone who wants to develop their skills, get involved in group projects and feel part of the ever-growing craft community on Old Kent Road.
